The journey

Every bag tells a story. Here's the one behind this batch.

01

Farm

Grown at altitude on a single estate, hand-picked at peak ripeness during a short harvest window.

02

Process

Cherries are washed and slow-fermented to bring out clarity and a clean, expressive cup profile.

03

Roast

Roasted in small batches, profile-tuned to highlight the origin's natural sweetness and acidity.

04

You

Shipped within 48 hours of roasting so what reaches your kitchen tastes the way it was made.

On the palate

What you'll taste

Three notes shape the cup. The rest is up to your palate to find.

Chocolate

Deep cocoa undertones that settle in mid-sip and linger on the finish.

Caramel

A natural sweetness that emerges as the cup cools and rounds out the body.

Citrus

A bright lift on the front of the palate that gives the cup its sense of clarity.

The story

More than a cup

From a single farm, to your cup

Andes Reserva began with a simple promise: taste the difference that one farm, one altitude, one harvest can make. This is coffee from the highlands of Huila, Colombia — a region where volcanic soil, mountain mist, and generations of farming knowledge come together to produce some of the most distinctive cups in the world.

We work directly with a small cooperative of farmers in the San Agustín region, paying well above the Fair Trade minimum and visiting the farms ourselves twice a year. Every lot is hand-picked at peak ripeness, fully washed using traditional methods, and sun-dried on raised beds for fourteen days. What you taste is the result of every one of those decisions.

Roasted to order in small batches and shipped within 48 hours of roasting. Drink it within four to six weeks for the experience as it was meant to be.

Tasting notes

  • Red apple — bright, juicy acidity reminiscent of fresh-bitten fruit
  • Brown sugar — rounded sweetness that anchors the cup from start to finish
  • Milk chocolate — soft cocoa notes that linger gently in the aftertaste
  • Clean finish — no bitterness, no heaviness; a lingering smooth tail
  • Body — medium, silky, well-balanced
  • Acidity — bright but rounded, never sharp

Origin & process

Grown between 1,650 and 1,900 metres above sea level on small family farms in the San Agustín municipality of Huila, Colombia. The cherries are 100% hand-picked at the moment of perfect ripeness, then fully washed using traditional fermentation tanks before being sun-dried slowly on raised beds for fourteen days. This careful processing brings out the bright fruit notes and clean finish that make Huila coffees celebrated worldwide. Variety is a blend of Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia — selected for cup quality and resilience.

How to brew it

Andes Reserva is versatile and forgiving — it shines in pour-over, French press, and espresso alike. For pour-over, we recommend a 1:16 ratio (15g coffee, 240g water) at 94°C, with a 30-second bloom and a total brew time of 3:00 to 3:30. For espresso, aim for 18g in, 36g out, in 28 to 32 seconds. Always grind fresh, just before brewing, and store the bag sealed in a cool, dry place — never in the fridge.

What’s in the bag

250g of Andes Reserva whole beans, sealed in a recyclable mono-material kraft bag with a one-way degassing valve and a tin tie to keep the coffee fresh after opening. Roast date is printed on every bag — never best-before. Ships in a recycled cardboard mailer with no plastic, ever. Free standard delivery on orders over $40, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee — if you don’t love it, we’ll make it right.

Brewing guide

How to brew it

Four reliable methods. Pick what you have, not what you don't.

Espresso

18g in · 36g out · 28s · 93°C

A short, intense pull that brings out the cocoa depth and a syrupy body.

V60

15g · 250g water · 3:00 · 94°C

Highlights the citrus brightness and creates a clean, articulate cup.

French Press

30g · 500g water · 4:00 · 95°C

Full immersion gives the most body and unlocks the caramel sweetness.

Aeropress

16g · 220g water · 1:30 · 88°C

Quick and forgiving — a balanced cup that travels well on any countertop.
